Schüchtermann-Klinik
The Schüchtermann-Klinik is a specialist hospital for cardiovascular diseases and provides all possible diagnostic approaches and therapeutical solutions for congenital and acquired diseases of the cardiovascular system in adults. Being an integrated cardiac centre we offer our patients a comprehensive medical care under one roof:
- acute care in the intensive care and monitoring unit of our Internal Medicine department
- cardiac catheter and vascular diagnostics in five examination rooms
- catheterisations of the heart (PTCA), of the leg arteries (PTA) and of the arteries of kidney and brain
- major cardiac surgeries in 5 operating theatres
- postoperative care on 5 acute wards
- and subsequent rehabilitation on 5 rehabilitation wards
Our integrated hospital concept with the medical speciality departments of Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Anaesthesiology and Rehabilitation facilitates a seamless care for our patients. No change of hospital and no waiting time between the different treatment stages ensure that our patients receive continuous medical, nursing and therapeutic care. This accelerates the recovery process and thus shortens the patient's stay in hospital.
MVZ (Medical care centre) Bad Rothenfelde
The MVZ (Medical Care Centre) Bad Rothenfelde covers the specialist areas of diagnostic radiology / neuroradiology and neurology.
The diagnostic radiology / neuroradiology makes use of all sophisticated imaging techniques. Here, one focus is on magnetic resonance tomography, which is applied by using two state-of-the-art tomograph units of the latest design. Another focus is on the computer-tomographically controlled pain therapy of the spinal column.
The scope of therapies provided by the neurology department covers all clinical pictures of the nervous system. The available diagnostic features comprise all modern examination methods.
The MVZ participates in the outpatient care scheme, i.e. its physicians provide treatment for patients who come with a referral. In addition, there is a close cooperation with the Schüchtermann-Klinik and the Dörenberg-Klinik.
Dörenberg-Klinik
The Dörenberg-Klinik in Bad Iburg being a hospital with a focus on conservative orthopaedy, rheumatology, rehabilitation and hospital-based physical and occupational therapy under the auspices of the employers' liability insurance (BGSW) is one of the most modern hospitals in Germany. Established in 1976, today it offers all required outpatient, day patient and inpatient therapies.
The key competences comprise
- treatment of congenital and acquired orthopaedic diseases
- follow-up treatment of orthopaedic and rheumatologic surgeries and of accidents (also on behalf of the employers' liability insurance associations),
- treatment of inflammatory rheumatic diseases,
- spinal diseases (intervertebral disc lesions, inflammations, kyphoses, scolioses),
- joint diseases, chronic pain syndromes of the musculoskeletal system,
- care after amputations of extremities, paraplegia
- follow-up treatment of tumour diseases with secondary damage to the musculoskeletal system.
In addition, the Dörenberg-Klinik has a health and rehabilitation centre (medicos.BadIburg). Apart from providing rehabilitation funded by all competent benefactors (German national pension fund BfA, state social insurance board LVA) and statutory or private health insurance companies, this centre with its state-of-the-art sports facilities including swimming-pool and sauna is particularly attractive for the discriminating health-conscious fitness enthusiast.
MVZ (Medical care centre) Bad Iburg
On 1st July 2005 the MVZ was inaugurated in the Dörenberg-Klinik. It consists of
- a practice with a focus on rheumatology,
- a practice for physical and rehabilitative medicine and
- a practice for manual medicine.
Hence, it is another important building block for the medical care of the region. The MVZ co-operates closely with the diagnostic and therapeutic departments of the Dörenberg-Klinik.
The medical care centre intends to continuously improve the treatment quality by providing comprehensive care tailored to suit the needs of the patients.
