Integrated Management System (IMS)

Quality at every level

As early as in 1999 the go-ahead for the introduction of a quality management system was given with the objective to assure and improve the quality of the patient care. 11 years after its introduction the quality aspect has penetrated the most varied management areas. Today, the Integrated Management System (IMS) of the Schüchtermann-Klinik comprises:

  • quality management
  • risk and incident management
  • pain management
  • hygiene management
  • health and safety management
  • conflict and integration management
  • environmental management

Quality working groups in the different medical specialty departments are entrusted with the task to monitor the quality of the patient care and to continuously work on an improvement of the services. The horizontal quality committee agrees on the annual quality goals and supervises their implementation.
