Quality report
Structured quality report acc. to §137 SGB V
Since 2005 all registered hospitals (§ 108 SGB V) are required by law to publish a structured quality report every two years (§ 137 Absatz 3 Satz 1 Nr. 4 SGB V§ 137 SGB V).
These specifications are to ensure that all according to §108 SBG V registered hospitals will regularly publish comparable details on the quality-relevant aspects of their services.
The structured quality reports are published on the Internet by different organisations on behalf of the health insurance companies. In the meantime several health insurers and other companies have set up data-recall facilities on their websites which allow the patient and the referring doctor to compare the services of different hospitals.
