Our Cardiac Catheterisation department has 4 cardiac catheterisation laboratories with state-of-the-art medical equipment. Our catheterisation control centre serves to centrally schedule the respective examinations and interventions.

The following cardiological examinations and therapeutic methods can be performed in the cardiac catheterisation laboratories:

  • Coronary angiography
  • Guide wire method (FFR)
  • Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)
  • Catheter infiltration
  • Electrophysiological study (EPS)
  • Balloon dilatation of the coronary vessels (PTCA) and stent implantation
  • Balloon dilatation (PTA) at the arteries outside the heart and stent implantation (including the aorta)
  • Obliteration of stimulus conduction paths in the heart (ablation) in case of complex cardiac dysrhythmias and atrial fibrillation
  • Implantation of various pacemakers and defibrillators
  • Catheter-based closure of congenital heart defects (ASD, PFO) by means of the umbrella technique
  • Expanding of stenosed cardiac valves
  • Occlusion (embolisation) of non-functional vessels
  • Catheter-based occlusion of the artrial appendage
  • Obliteration of nerve fibers in renal arteries (ablation) in resistent hypertension
