Cardiology

The Cardiology department of the Schüchtermann-Klinik has a total of 40 beds, 18 of which are beds with intensive care and monitoring equipment, and there are 5 cardiological examination or intervention rooms. Owing to its extensive diagnostic and therapeutical scope, which comprises all established cardiological techniques, this department essentially contributes to the improvement of the cardiological care - and particularly the emergency care - in our catchment area.

Every year the staff of our Cardiology department examines and treats about 4,500 stationary patients and about 3,600 ambulant patients. The Cardiology department of the Schüchtermann-Klinik belongs to the Herzzentrum Osnabrück-Bad Rothenfelde Management GmbH. The Herzzentrum (cardiac centre) works under the joint sponsorship of Schüchtermann-Schiller'sche Kliniken Bad Rothenfelde GmbH & Co. KG, Klinikum Osnabrück GmbH and since 2003 also Marienhospital Osnabrück GmbH. The close interaction of the three large cardiological sites facilitates a comprehensive cardiological acute and emergency care of all heart cases within the territory of the city of Osnabrück and the surrounding district.
