We are:

• a group of surgical nurses the majority of whom has completed a mentoring training.
• a training centre for advanced professional training to become surgical experts and technical surgical assistants (German: OTA).
• connected within an education network to the Marienhospital in cooperation with the St. Hildegard centre of learning in Osnabrück.
• thanks to internal and external further training courses, an above-average qualified team with a high proportion of employees with advanced specialty skills and surgery theatre experience from other surgical disciplines.
• capable of optimally imparting the available knowledge to beginners by means of a wide range of educational multimedia systems.
• involved both in the ward-spanning, external and in the further in-house training in the operating theatre area.
• represented at national and international congresses.
• flexible regarding part-time work.

We perform and provide:

• activities in respect of instrumentation, assistance and stand-by services during all surgeries performed in the Schüchtermann-Klinik.
• co-responsible handling of the surgery schedule.
• assistance for new surgical methods.
• cooperation in intra-surgical studies.
• the integration of new materials, instrumentation systems and other innovations of relevance for the operating theatre.
• the provision of all medical and non-medical operating resources of a large Cardiac Surgery department.
• the logistics and inventory management for all implants.
• the timely care and attendance of our patients.

We offer:

• an opportunity to receive further professional training in the surgical field.
• vocational training as a technical surgical assistant (German: OTA).
• vocational training as an assistant surgeon.
