A follow-up curative treatment (German abbreviation: AHB) designates a medical rehabilitation scheme immediately after an acute treatment in hospital or closely connected to it. In the Schüchtermann-Klinik the follow-up curative treatment is offered for patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases with the following indications:
- after an acute heart attack
- after balloon dilatation or stent implantation
- after a coronary bypass surgery
- after a cardiac valve surgery
- after a surgical correction of congenital heart defects (cardiac septum)
- after a heart transplantation
- after implantation of a left ventricular supporting system
- after other heart surgeries (e.g. aneurysmectomy, ICD implantation)
- in case of a coronary heart disease without acute heart attack
- in case of a cardiomyopathy or other cardiac insufficiency
- after inflammatory heart diseases
- after pulmonary embolism
- in case of arterial and venous circulatory disturbances
- after surgery of the arterial and venous vascular system
