The ambulant cardiac group "Schüchtermann-Klinik e.V." is an independent registered association established in January 1990. Within the past 18 years the number of active members rose from 45 to presently 260.
Properly graded exercises as a group experience
The objective of the group is to enable its members to better cope with their disease and to positively influence their health in the long term. Here, not only a cardiovascular improvement is intended but also a psychosocial stabilisation. An individually graded motion therapy programme (ECG-controlled ergometer training, group and water gymnastics as well as relaxation exercises) takes place in the therapy rooms of the Schüchtermann-Klinik in 16 training groups and 2 exercise groups. In addition to the active exercise sessions the group offers interesting information sessions on health topics at regular intervals.
How to become a member?
The preconditions for an active membership in our association is the medical indication for a cardiovascular training, the corresponding prescription from the attending physician and an adequate fitness. When you dispose of the required documents and you want to become a member please apply to the contact person of the cardiac group in the Schüchtermann-Klinik.
