Institute for Cardiovascular Research

The Institute for Cardiovascular Research brings together the experimental and clinical research departments of the Schüchtermann-Klinik. Research is particularly innovative and successful where it is carried out on an interdisciplinary basis. At the Schüchtermann-Klinik, scientists and clinicians with a high level of professional expertise work together. This form of interdisciplinary clinical research approach ensures that new forms of therapy can be developed and, thanks in particular to the unique structure of an integrated cardiac centre, can be implemented directly into the patient care at the Schüchtermann-Klinik. This ensures that our patients are always treated according to the latest scientific findings.

Cardiovascular diseases continue to be the leading cause of death in developed countries. The research into cardiovascular clinical pictures and their treatment strategies will continue to play a decisive role in the future. We cordially invite you to find out more about the individual, very multifaceted focal points of the research conducted at the Schüchtermann-Klinik.
