Heinrich Sch\u00fcchtermann and his wife Antoinette Schiller contributed a large part of their assets to this foundation, which the Sch\u00fcchtermann-Klinik is still part of today.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital&#8217;s development shows that the structure of a <strong>charitable family foundation<\/strong> is an ideal hospital operator that can lead good ideas <strong>to success<\/strong> without short-term economic or political decision-making constraints.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The foundation&#8217;s board of directors includes the <strong>highest church and political dignitaries in Dortmund.<\/strong> Currently these are Provost Andreas Coersmeier and Lord Mayor Ullrich Sierau. This wisely balanced team has been able to keep the benefactor&#8217;s charitable legacy alive for 120 years. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the family foundation is Dr Ulrich Strunk.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2007, Hon. Prof. Michael B\u00f6ckelmann (MBA) has been Managing Director of the Sch\u00fcchtermann-Schiller&#8217;schen Kliniken, and since October 2016 he has held the position of Chairman of the Board of Management and is supported by the second Managing Director, Marc L\u00fctkemeyer.
