The focus of the experimental research conducted by the Sch\u00fcchtermann-Klinik in close cooperation with the <strong>Max Planck Institute<\/strong> in Bad Nauheim is on identifying and characterising the factors and underlying mechanisms that determine the infiltration, activity and residence time of immune cells at the site of damage. <\/p>\n<p>Local, <strong>intercellular interactions<\/strong> between the inflammatory cells and adjacent cell layers are also investigated, and the pathophysiological relevance of biological adaptation mechanisms is explored. Based on this, <strong>intervention strategies<\/strong>will be derived and created to support endogenous cardiovascular healing processes. <\/p>\n<p>The working group has many years of expertise in the use of cardiovascular disease models.
