The outpatient &#8220;<strong>Sch\u00fcchtermann-Klinik e.V.<\/strong>&#8221; heart group is an independent association that was first established in October 1989. It is not only about improving cardiovascular function, but also about psychosocial stabilisation. Top sporting performances are not the purpose of the meetings: rather, each member should only exert him\/herself as much as his\/her state of health allows and is deemed necessary by the doctor and exercise instructor.<\/p>\n<p>In 18 training and two exercise groups, a personalised exercise therapy programme takes place in the Sch\u00fcchtermann-Klinik&#8217;s therapy rooms. These include group and water gymnastics, ECG-controlled exercise bike training and relaxation exercises. The risk factors leading to heart diseases, such as smoking, high blood cholesterol, obesity and high blood pressure, are better and permanently reduced in the group.<\/p>\n<p>In the heart group, you will learn to correctly assess your exercise capacity. For many heart group members, conversations with participants who have belonged to the group for a longer time are interesting. Experiences are shared to help you cope better with your condition.
