INSTITUTE FOR CARDIOVASCULAR RESEARCH

The Institute for Cardiovascular Researchbrings together the Schüchtermann-Klinik’s experimental and clinical research departments. Research is particularly innovative and successful where it is conducted in an interdisciplinary manner. At the Schüchtermann-Klinik, scientists and practising physicians work together with a high level of professional expertise. This form of interdisciplinary, clinical research ensures that new forms of therapy can be developed and then implemented directly in patient care at the Schüchtermann-Klinik, in particular thanks to the unique structure of an integrated heart centre. This ensures that our patients are always treated according to the latest state of the scientific art.

Cardiovascular disease continues to top the list ofleading causes of death in developed countries. Research into cardiovascular disease patterns and their treatment strategies will continue to play a crucial role in the future. We would like to invite you to read more about the individual, multi-faceted areas of research carried out at the Schüchtermann-Klinik.
