VAD OUTPATIENT CLINIC
After discharge, our patients with a ventricular assist device (VAD) come to the outpatient clinic several times for check-ups:
- once a week for the first 3-4 weeks
- then at longer intervals
The following parameters are recorded during outpatient care:
- Physical examination, especially Driveline, PM pocket, sternotomy scar, etc.
- Resting ECG
- Defibrillator check
- Echocardiography
- Laboratory test
CONSULTATIONS:
The unit can be contacted during the day via the outpatient clinic number. The on-call service can be contacted outside regular service hours.
