Intensive care unit

Spanning more than 3,200 m², our cardiac surgery intensive care and intermediate care unitsets standards in terms of patient and family friendliness. The total of 26 intensive care and 25 intermediate care beds are designed and equipped in line with the latest intensive medical and psychological aspects. In addition to a total of 22 double rooms, seven single rooms are also available. Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art medical technology, even critically ill patients can be cared for beyond routine intensive medical care after surgery.

Bright and spacious rooms, warm colours, generous recreation areas and direct access to the adjacent park characterise the unit. The centre of the intensive care unit is the light-flooded atrium, which is always open to relatives and visitors. For those who want to find peace, the Quiet Room is a place for all religions as well as non-denominational visitors.

Our cardiac surgery intensive care and intermediate care unit has been awarded the “Relatives welcome at any time!” certificate by Stiftung Pflege e.V. (Care Foundation).
