Whether exclusively medicinal, invasive cardiological or cardiac surgery: every patient is considered by us as an individual case with his or her personal prerequisites – as a team. Through the interdepartmental exchange of our specialists, we want to find and follow the most promising and safest therapy path for you individually.

CARDIAC SURGERY
The cardiac surgery department at the Schüchtermann-Klinik makes a significant contribution to improved care in the region of northern Germany, especially also in emergencies, in cases of impending heart attack or acute heart failure.
INSTITUTE FOR PREVENTION AND SPORTS MEDICINE
The IPS is your competent contact for cardiology, sports medical and performance diagnostic issues. In addition to high-quality equipment, all of the diagnostic facilities of a renowned heart centre are available to the IPS in cooperation with other departments at the Schüchtermann-Klinik.
ANAESTHESIA
Throughout the operation, the anaesthetist monitors all organ functions and the patient's depth of anaesthesia using the latest medical technology. A team of experienced anaesthetists ensures that the anaesthesia is precisely adapted to the physiological conditions of the patient for each individual procedure.
CARDIOLOGY
State-of-the-art diagnostic options and patient-focused therapy approaches are the hallmarks of the Schüchtermann-Klinik's cardiology department. The department is divided into six sub-departments that specialise in different disorders and treatment options.
NURSING SERVICE
In a highly technical medical environment, nursing skills are a key factor for success. For us, this means using only professionally qualified and appropriately (professionally) certified nursing staff. Our nursing service has extensive additional qualifications and is continuously trained.
REHABILITATION
Follow-up treatment involves medical rehabilitation that follows directly or is closely connected with acute treatment in hospital. The Schüchtermann-Klinik offers follow-up treatment for cardiovascular diseases with different indications.
Academic work
As a specialist clinic for cardiovascular diseases and with our integrated clinic concept, we offer our patients the best conditions for this. The guiding principle of our actions is the patient-focused cooperation between the individual medical specialities that we practice every day. Evidence of this is also the fact that interdisciplinary teams are available for very specific issues. This close cooperation not only helps you to find the path to the right treatment, but at the same time ensures seamless and continuous care from prevention to rehabilitation.

Als Spezialklinik für Herz– und Gefäßkrankheiten ist die Diagnostik und Behandlung des Herzens unserer Schwerpunk. Jedoch bieten wir als Gesundheitsfamilie aus mehreren Institutionen das gesamte Spektrum moderner medizinischer Versorgungen. Dazu zählen auch weitere integrale Bereiche, wie Pflege und Rehabilitation.

Dank unserem integrierten Klinikkonzept sind wir in der Lage, unseren PATIENTS Versorgungen in außergewöhnlich hoher Qualität zu bieten. In unserer integrierten Herzklinik verfügen wir über interdisziplinäre Teams aus Spezialistinnen und Spezialisten, die auch in komplexen Fällen gemeinsam die bestmögliche Lösung erarbeiten. Je nach Fall entscheidet nicht ein Arzt/eine Ärztin allein, sondern ein kardiologisch–kardiochirurgisches Team, ein Herzklappen–Team etc.
